My grandfather created the garden (and built the walled garden) in the early 20th century and it was later looked after and developed by my parents, and has been by me. There is quite an extensive range of beds, shrubs and trees all around the grounds including various old fruit trees. The walled garden grows vegetables, which you can sometimes buy (depending on the season), and houses our small family of chickens (their fresh eggs are usually available to purchase). Pekes is well-known for its pots and tubs through the summer, and we hope you will enjoy them.
We have a small team of part-time gardeners who each have different responsibilities and who love working here. Do please say hello to them!
